Challenge

Social media channels like Twitter are used by people to talk about how they feel when they’re struggling to cope. Sad fact: suicidal tweets mirror suicide rates (Brigham Young University, 2013).

Solution

In a perfect world, you wouldn’t miss distressed tweets. But the web is far from perfect. To help stop tweets from being lost in your Twitter feed, we built Radar. It flags keywords of tweets you missed and brings it to your attention. It's a web app so there's nothing to download. Once activated, you won't need to return to the site. Unless there's an alert in your email.

Dialogue

During the time it was active, Radar helped ensure distressed tweets from 2,000,000 users would be picked up by friends. It also raised awareness of the reality of suicidal tweets all over the country. The story spread across the Web and was covered by all major news media. Radar was even presented at SXSW 2015 by Leo Burnett's global head of mobile.
