Barclays Future Shop - Augmented Reality Shopping
Brief
We were tasked by Barclays Partner Finance (BPF) to explain the benefits of a new initiative that will help customers and retailers make financing smoother. The experience targeted senior level BPF decision-makers at a global meeting.
Future Shop
In just over 4 weeks, we created ‘Future Shop’ with Future Visual. To enter, step through a physical doorframe, a portal, into the shop of tomorrow, where point-of-sale finance is frictionless.
Iris used experimental techniques (the first commercial use of this technology) using ARKit & Unity to produce an augmented experience that goes beyond the standard AR marker: we created a virtual shop that you can explore with 6 degrees of freedom. Users could explore the 6m x 4m virtual space and interact with shop items, listening to key messages and reading USPs about the new initiative.
